Naval Support Activity Naples Installation Profile & PCS Resources

Get to know the installation.

A Navy support community spanning Capodichino and the Gricignano Support Site. Research the specific gaining organization alongside the shared Naples, Gricignano & Campania Regional PCS Guide.

Naples, Gricignano di Aversa and Pozzuoli occupy different parts of a large Campania urban region. Capodichino and the Support Site are separated destinations, so the actual work campus matters before comparing housing. The bay and Vesuvius artwork represents a regional outing; it does not describe the surroundings of every Navy residence or office.

Installation history.

NSA Naples traces its origins to Headquarters, Support Activities, established in 1951, and received its current name in 1966. Its support responsibilities developed across separated sites. The historic Naples association does not mean every present reporting or household appointment occurs on the city waterfront.

Arrival at Naval Support Activity Naples.

Confirm whether reporting is at Capodichino or the Support Site, and arrange the onward transfer through the sponsor. Use current official instructions for overseas screening and Italy residence documentation. Ask housing and family-support offices about the household’s actual orders, while keeping temporary lodging, permanent housing and school enrollment as separate processes.

Keep the reporting destination distinct from nearby civilian landmarks and from other military sites in the region. Confirm lodging, the first reporting step and a contact for travel changes through the official installation resources before departure.

Local character & seasonal context.

Campania combines hot summer periods and milder, wetter winters, with coastal and inland conditions differing. Keep local weather and civil-protection information available, including notices relevant to the actual municipality. A calm bay illustration is neither an assessment of current volcanic conditions nor a promise about visibility or the arrival-day forecast.
