Privacy Policy
How Mil Marketplace handles information.
Effective September 19, 2026. This policy reflects the current Mil Marketplace application and the information needed to provide the service.
Scope
This Privacy Policy describes information handled when you use Mil Marketplace. Mil Marketplace is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the U.S. Army, Department of Defense, or any military service.
Information the service handles
- Account information: your email address, encrypted authentication credentials, user identifier, and authentication/session records.
- Assignment information: positions, units, duty stations, optional rank, branch or MOS, and marketplace descriptions you submit.
- Research information: generated reports, research dates, public source links, source organizations, and verification notes.
- Private notes: notes you save for an assignment. Although access is restricted to your account in the application, do not enter classified, CUI, sensitive, or inappropriate information.
- Access information: research usage, entitlement grants, promo-code redemption records, and related timestamps.
- Operational information: request timing, errors, security-relevant records, and technical logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users; save and reopen assignments, reports, sources, and notes; enforce research allowances and rate limits; redeem promotional access; generate requested research; maintain security; troubleshoot errors; and improve service reliability.
Service providers and processing
Supabase provides authentication and database services. Vercel hosts the application. OpenAI processes assignment inputs to produce requested research, including use of web-search capabilities. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Public websites linked as research sources are operated by third parties.
Do not submit classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), nonpublic operational or readiness information, vulnerabilities, future operations, private contact details, sensitive personnel information, or other information inappropriate for a public-information research service.
Cookies and sessions
Mil Marketplace uses browser cookies and related session technologies supplied through Supabase to keep you signed in and refresh authentication sessions. Essential session technologies are required for the authenticated workspace to function.
Access controls and security
Database row-level security is designed to limit assignments, reports, sources, notes, and usage information to the authenticated owner. Server-side controls enforce research access and promo redemption. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users remain responsible for safeguarding account credentials.
Retention and deletion
Saved assignments, reports, sources, and notes may remain until deleted through available product controls or until the account or service data is otherwise removed. Deleting an assignment removes its associated saved report and notes under the current database design, but it does not restore a consumed research use. The application does not currently provide a self-service account-deletion workflow or publish fixed retention periods for backups, logs, usage, entitlements, or redemption records.
To request assistance concerning access or deletion, email contact@mymilmarketplace.com. A request may require identity verification, and fulfillment may be subject to operational, security, or legal retention needs.
Policy changes and contact
This policy may change as the service evolves. Material updates should be reflected by revising the effective date. Questions can be sent to contact@mymilmarketplace.com.
